* The pH of all of the various types of water I have used to make CS has
always been acid--5.5 to 6.0, around there.  I have not been able to get
golden CS.  I have heard that you could only get golden CS with alkaline
water.  I use nitrazine paper to test the pH, which only shows a color
range in .5 degree increments.
