Hi Margaret:
I use a Beck-directed machine, as well. I make a quart at a time. Please
read Peter Lindemann's article at http://www.elixa.com/silver/lindmn.htm
/ this has some good information in it [whatever the controversy concerning
its content]. I use distilled water and boil it in a glass Visions pot. I
use a quart Mason jar with wide mouth and hang my rods from a hook above the
jar into the boiled water. I make sure the rods are not touching the glass.
I turn the machine on and leave it for 20-30 minutes. This consistently
makes a slightly amber colored cs. I have never had the ppm tested, but I
understand, and dowse it to be between 7 and 10 in the manner that I make it.

Just for you, and this list to know, I have had a very clear reaction to
colloidal silver. I have been making and using it for a year now. At first
I was taking quite a lot--8 oz./day maybe, and it was the milky type, and I
used a saline solution in the water, and it was tap water. I don't know how
long after I started using it this happened, but I became emotionally
volatile--willing to snap or be harsh at people, especially at work. I am
not ususally this way, and I didn't know what was up. Eventually I slacked
off on using the cs, and began just swishing it in my mouth and spitting it
out, as well as using it on my skin. These symptoms abated, and disappeared
altogether.

It was about 2 months ago that I made a fresh batch of cs in the method
mentioned above. I drank about 2 ounces of this stuff. I went to
work--something came up, and I felt a raging inside. It was a clear reaction
to me--a direct homeopathic "proving."

If you have the opportunity, take a look at a homeopathic Materia Medica.
Look for argentum; read the symptoms listed. These are symptoms written down
by healthy people who had taken the substance -- called a "proving." This
gives you the very best picture of what taking silver, or exposure to silver
CAN do in the person that doesn't need it, or doesn't need the quantity that
they're getting. Homeopathy works like this: Like cures like.
Administration of a substance to a healthy person that creates a certain set
of symptoms will CURE the person that has those similar symptoms.

At any rate--good luck. I think colloidal silver is a wonderful thing, and I
am glad we live in a time when we can have good healing substances available
to us with just a little effort.
