Glenda and all, I haven't set up an accessible archive, although I think a while back someone subscribed some kind of list archiver to recieve our postings. Does anyone want to tell us about that? Please do tell us about this Thumpy device, plus pointers to other sources of info on it. I've never heard of this before! (no surprise) Nobody's ever mentioned it here. If it's not about colloidal silver, it's really off topic for the silver list, strictly speaking. But I'm not so eager to be *that* strict. <grin> Spin it off to other forums after we've all heard enough to judge it's relevance to ourselves. Thanks, Mike D. Mike, Glenda and all 'Mister Thumpy' is a variant of the electromagnetic pulse unit as described by Bob Beck which may be found here... http://www.rarebooks.net/beck/beck9.htm Thumpy is built around a small party strobe available I believe at Radio Shack for a few dollars. An air cored inductor (hi fi speaker crossover component ,also available at Radio Shack) is wired in series with the Xenon light tube and provides a large magnetic pulse of short duration, said to induce a small current flow in the tissue etc. which it penetrates. The thumpy unit runs on mains supply and hence does not require the continual replacement of batteries and has a shorter recharge time than the Beck described unit. I have built one of these units and have had good results in treating the symptoms of tooth decay, if not the decay itself. I do not think that there is a limit (time or number of pulses) but these units can over-heat if one gets carried away ; ) Electromagnetic pulses are said to penetrate areas of low blood supply and gaseous spaces (teeth, jaw, lymph nodes, stomach and intestines, etc.) where conventional contact electromedical devices can not reach.
