I built Bruce's pulsed DC CS generator, but am not getting the right voltage out of it. I had to substitute a 1/2 watt 68 ohm resistor for the 1/4 watt 75 ohm resistor. My power supply is 12 volts (max setting) with a 100/300 ohm select switch. The input to the circuit is 15.4 volts and the output is 7.6 volts when the switch is set at 300 ohm. 7.4 volts when 100 ohm is selected. The unit is operating at a little over 18 kHz. Could my substitutions be the problem? Any thoughts Bruce?
