Jim, This is a very interesting predicament you have brought up. Isn't there an old saying about being careful about getting rid of your devils, because you may just be inviting new ones?
It makes me think too of ecosystems. If you get rid of what's growing, even if it's a weed, you may find an even more noxious plant growing there next. My completely uneducated (so please don't come back at me because I'm just hypothicizing) guess is that you killed off the good stuff along with the bad stuff, and when you just left the field bare, so to speak, new bad stuff grew. It sure does make me think one better not go off anything that has the capacity to alter the terrain of the body without lots of supplementation of new good flora.
