Glass is recommended by many, as it may have less tendancy for the silver particles to plate out on it's surface, or loose their charge; easier to clean than plastic, and still be able to see through the container to visually monitor the process. How your silver electrodes are mounted/ held in place relative to each other is another consideration... I run my batches to about 20PPM as read on the Hanna TDS1; this may in fact relate to a CS actual concentration of 24 to 27 PPM, according to lab results returned to another list member earlier this year. (I monitor the current running through the generator, and stop at a certain value - [ 8mA in the caso of the specific electrode geometry I use.] Topical application of CS is definitely worth looking into; lots if info on the web: from disinfecting cuts, scrapes, & burns, to stopping ear infections fast, to dealing with athlete's feet, CS is reported to be working very well.
