I don't think I answered this yet; have been in and out, getting starting to move our family.
I was taking CS primarily for Lyme disease, but noticed improvement from taking 2 or 3 tablespoons of 8 ppm CS 1-2 x daily over several weeks. Since I've used CS for 1 1/2 years for Lyme (in various doses/strengths), I can't say if that would have been necessary for candida. I really doubt it. The "Be Healthy" website often sited for Lyme protocol has a section on candida and use of protein silver (40 ppm). http://www.escape.ca/~revive/treat.html (Lyme page) try http://www.escape.ca/~revive/ to see what's on the site. I think the most improvement should occur in the first 2-8 weeks, but herxes can occur as with treatment for LD. I would also hope that anyone seriously treating candida would avoid simple sugars and wheat flour for a while, and even fruit, until the flora seems balanced. "The Yeast Connection" is an excellent resource on candida & treatment, although I am not aware that CS is ever mentioned as a treatment. The book is written by an MD, and at least in the earlier editions I doubt CS was available as it is now.
