Yup! And he shrugged and asked what it is and what it does. When I told him, he snidely remarked that "we've only known about most bacteria for a hundred years or so"! Say WHAT?! How the HELL does that relate to people staying healthy from using it??!! See, *this* is the kind of ARROGANCE that I've had to deal with; and what's *really* pathetic is to watch how all the new interns hover around this guy all eager to learn his "wisdom". I feel like walking up to him right in front of them all and saying "Hey, Stern! Lose any patients lately? It's a good thing I didn't follow *your* instructions for staying alive or I'd ALREADY BE DEAD!" When I implied this to one of his fellow-doctors in private, she looked at me with hate and proceeded to repremand me like a child! Talk about ARROGANCE: I'm 42 and still alive with a disease that kills most by 20 or 30 and she had the audacity to "scold" me for saying "I'm still alive because throughout my life I've only taken about 1/4 of all the drugs that Stern wanted me to"! Can you believe this *DUNG* (the word was originally *SHIT* but I don't want to sound too nasty)?! I BLASPHEMED against one of their own - the GODS - and got my wrist verbally slapped! I learned that day *when* to keep my mouth shut!
