I have purchased one of the 'Sears water distillers, and am extremely pleased with it. I am making all of the water we use for coffee and cooking, as well as all of our drinking water, and the water I use for CS production, with the unit. With all this I am only running it perhaps 25% of the time. I consider it a well designed unit and no major drawbacks. The only replaceable parts are the little carbon filter envelopes, which last for months and are quite inexpensive.
