Hello Paul, and welcome to the silver-list!

There are many good web sites you can go to. I hope the folks will
chime in with a few recommendations. If you read enough of them,
you'll get a good idea of what you need to know to get started. I
also have an Introduction and Overview FAQ that I will revise
(again!) and put out shortly. It'll take you on a guided tour of some
representative sites.

The easiest way to start is with the battery and light bulb type
generator, and room temperature water. A number of folks can share
their recipe with you.

Some use salt, others don't. The bottom line is if you duplicate
a setup in the essentials and use the same recipe, you'll get about
the same results -- *approximately.*

There are only a few really critical things. Start only with steam
*distilled* water. Don't try to use tap water, filtered water, spring
water, or reverse-osmosis water. Use only .999 pure (99.9%) or better
silver wire for your electrodes. Don't use common silver coins or
sterling.

We'll be putting the web site together Real Soon Now (tm). When it's
up I'll have a couple of decent getting started articles that'll make
this a lot easier!

In the meantime, read up on the web and feel free to ask questions
and describe what you're doing. We've all been through this groping
around stage. You'll be an expert in no time!

I'll be back with the FAQ in a little bit...

Be well,

Mike Devour
