Hello silver list!
A few years ago I became involved with the election campaign of a
local Libertarian Party activist. I found myself working side-by-side
with the most dedicated, competent, and mentally healthy people I've
ever met. Our mission was (and is) nothing short of changing the
world. It may seem like tilting at windmills sometimes, but the long
range effects of local action are inestimable.
After some time I came to a stunning insight:
The greatest single benefit of my involvement
was the chance to live and work among heroes.
The association changes and uplifts you. It renews your sense of
hope. It can set the direction of your future.
The reason I tread the fringes of proscribed political commentary
here on the silver-list is that I find myself once again in the
company of heroes. You've expanded my sphere of contact with the
shapers of the future.
My gratitude is irrelevant to your continued success, but you have
it anyway.
