I make many connections with zero
solder.Just twist the wires together an
crimp together with visegrip pliers.
Dribble some hot glue from a glue gun
on the wire for insulation if you wish.

VOLTAGE AND CURRENT

Far out Frank, so many good questions. I should of thought about some of
those curly questions myself!!

Looking forward to some answers. Anyway here is my most recent
experience with my Beck CS/zapper.

I had actually reduced my silver electrodes or one of them, to the
thickness of a hair. I had Hauser Miller send me somE 99.99 (I HOPE IT
IS 99.99 SILVER) silver at 14 gauge. And then I had to re-attach them to
the Beck wires and I'm not an electrical type, but I was warned by the
literature not to use solder.

Well List/eners I solved the problem sucessfully (boast boast). This
might be handy to others when they graduate to new silver electrodes.
After visiting Dick Smith electronics store at Gore Hill in Sydney (a
sort of Australian Radio Shack type store) they recommended heat shrink
tube. So I cut off the old remnants and wound the wire onto the new
silver and used the heat shrink tube. Got out my 25 year old
multi-meter, and discovered that no VOLTAGE was getting thru. The fact
that I actually have a multimeter really doesn't say any more than I did
attempt to solder and fiddle with wires and those funny brown boards
with the holes in them. But, electonics wasn't for me – too exacting –
but luckily I did learn a little about resistance and voltage.

Went thru the whole process again, and it now works well and looks
almost like a bought one. I used black 3mm tube for the individual wires
and white 5mm tube to finish off the whole two wire assembly. The tubing
seems to really grip the wires and silver super tight as one has to cut
into it to remove if contact in not gained/established first up. I'm
quite pleased with myself, as I was dreading having problems with a sort
of jerry built attachment.
