Hi Warren, silver list!

Good questions, sir!

Marketing Hype! Small elemental particles of silver, charged, and
staying in suspension for long periods of time certainly qualifies as
colloidal.

We're just going to have to hammer on the fact that *all* these
machine makers are competing for your dollars and would *love* you to
believe that their machine is best and others don't work right. Every
one has a reputation to build.

If you really want to know what happens, try animal studies! The
problem with broth-in-bowl type experiments is that it does not
transfer well to in-vivo activity (in the living organism).

Often, the low concentration CS preparations, 3-5 ppm for instance,
are not all that effective stopping bacteria in a petri dish. But
they seem to work quite well in the body, as many will attest! It
might have something to do with kidneys, you know!

Certainly the petri dish tests can be a go/no-go test just to see if
a particular preparation can be effective if it is *concentrated*
enough. Thus you might compare several different products that all
claim to be 30ppm and see if they are all equally effective. Dilute
them and try again, etc...

Some useful info might come out of it, but you *cannot* discount a
product or process entirely on the basis of studies in culture
medium.

I'm still searching for good studies on CS. We've come across a few
interesting tidbits, but nothing overwhelming.

So for now we still have to get by with the dreaded anecdotal
evidence.

Be well,

Mike D.
