That's exactly what I hope we'll be doing here. I'm eager to try
Gerald Perry's ppm meter so I can have a way to measure ppm on
*lots* of samples. A FOAF has access to a scanning visible/UV
spectrophotometer, which I think will give us lots of insights into
the properties of our preparations.

And we've got Jim Einert on the way to owning his own dark field
microscope. If somebody on the list has an extra 35mm camera body,
or we can take up a collection, he can even be equipped for
photography. Won't *that* spruce up the web pages!!

What I'm saying is, we've got the makings of a decent research and
development team here. Every person on the list can contribute to and
benefit from what we, as a group, will be learning. The expenses
would be minimal and fairly well distributed.

I've been doing exactly that, monitoring the current and periodically
checking the voltage.

That is true. And there are other things to keep constant as well,
like electrode spacing and water temperature. But until I have a way
to measure ppm and particle size on a *lot* of samples cheaply, I
won't know just how sensitive the results are to all those variables.

I'll post the procedure I used to make these batches. But you'll all
see that it is more complicated than most people will be interested
in duplicating. I'd still like to have a simpler recipe that was
reliably calibrated as well. I'll be working on that soon, I hope.
