Particle size

Hi everyone,
  Just a question here, I recently started to heat my water.  I am trying
to increase the amount I make at one time.  I am using 3 cups of water and
runnng it for about 1and 1/2hour.  The last time I made it I noticed large
particles of silver in the solution.  What did I do wrong?  How long should
I heat the water for?
