The kids can get no worse than all the other kids who are not taking CS. The 
situation Tai-pan
describes is ideal for a CS test. No one medically qualified or legally 
qualified would describe CS
as 'treatment'. (But then I am not in the USA where kids seem to regularly 
shoot up schools because
they all have free access to handguns! My kids here in australia have never 
even seen a real
handgun or rifle. In Hong Kong the very possession of a bullet can send you to 
jail. So I would not
worry about not giving them CS for a while.)

Much progress of medicine over the last 150 years is about experimenting on 
people, especially on
the person who proposed the test. That is, doctors giving themselves the 
anti-whatever first. I can
give you a list if you want.
