Well, guess I can now try CS on a severe burn. While finishing up a water well on the side of a mountain I was burned by the exhaust of the drive engine. The wound is 2" x 1/2" and into the flesh. Put CS on within 10 mnutes and then a Aloe patch. Will take a look at it in the morning. At work we will be removing an old septic system so an open wound is not good.
