The interchange between Tim and Dennis re: bursitis has inspired me to share
my insights on this. I also was diagnosed w/bursitis of the hip and shoulder
(quite miserable). I have posted a couple of times before - I have a severe
candida infection which I am currently treating w/CS. To make a long story
short - after all sorts of physical therapy, etc, my bursitis finally
cleared up only after beginning more agressive treatment for my candida
(prescription antifungals). Lo and behold, my research into candida
uncovered that bursitis (or what they call pseudo-bursitis can be caused by
candida infection).

Further research also uncovered a "new" theory (that the medical community
for the most part doesn't know about or believe) about auto-immune
conditions which cause joint pain (and possibly bursitis?), which is that
some kind of mutated bacteria or possibly a "bad" bacteria in the colon
could launch an auto-immune response, which can't get at the offending
bacteria, but as a side effect, attacks joints or other parts of the body. I
may have even read about that on this list.

Another interesting insight into bursitis is that when I recently had a
colonic, the therapist told me that bursitis is one of the first things that
"clears up" after a colonic! So... I guess the moral to this story is that
there is a lot not "known" about these conditions, and its quite possible
that if a bacteria, virus, or fungus is the underlying culprit, CS could
certainly be beneficial.

BTW - I am still doing well on CS for my yeast infection and have even
gotten lax about my other concurrent herbal supplements, etc, because I'm
feeling so good!

I hope this is helpful.
