I decided I needed some liver function tests run. I called a local internest
and saw him today. He has been practicing for 45 years. He asked me why i
wanted liver tests run-did I drink, do drugs, smoke? I said no I only drink
distilled water and eat a healthy mostly vegetarian diet. I told him I had eye
problems, skin problems, and my stools were kinda yellowish-green. My rear and
front abdomen hurt quite a bit. My urine was always very yellow. I had
researched my symptoms on the net and thought it might be a hepatitis or some
other liver problem. I had also a severe kidney stone attack 4 month's earlier-
with no warning. When he heard "internet" he exploded. He informed me there was
nothing but lies on the net. He, by God, graduated 3rd in his class, and was a
charter member of AOA (?). I tried to calm him, because I really wanted the
tests done. I asked him if he had treated any Lyme patients. He said there was
no Lyme in Oklahoma. I asked him about CFIDS, and Epstein-Barr. He seemed
surprised that I knew the words. I said Doc I'm here because I'm sick. I have
no insurance, and I want some basic tests run. He asked what meds I had been
on. I said none for over a year, only colloidal vitamins and minerals, vitamin
C and l-lysine, and olive leaf extract. This really upset him. He again
informed me of his vast medical training. He asked again "No drugs"?. Only
doxycycline 300 mg. a day for 18 weeks. I took the plunge(I never mentionrd
Rife, HFA4,CS,autouropathy, Healthpoint, Hulda Clark, etc.) I said for
mycoplasma incognitus. He said you had pneumonia? Not m. pneumonia- m.
fermentens. It attacks the brain stem and colon first. He had never heard of
it. I knew then that i was wasting my time- but I still wanted the blood tests.
I said i had Gulf War Syndrome. He immediately asked me if I had a psychiatric
exam- that there was no such thing. Had I been to the Gulf War? No- I got it
from surplus gas masks about 4 years ago. I remember the strong burning on my
hands and arms when I handled them. He told me then that i needed to definitely
have my head examined. He became very agitated and suggested that i leave
because I was obviously "more of a patient than he was a doctor" ( the only
true statment he made today). I asked if he would recommend an internist
knowledgeble about liver problems or immune system problems. I overheard his
call to a colleague about my "mental problems"- and playing doctor on the net.
I will probably keep the appointment for the blood tests-The only reason we
need to see today's allopaths. BTW, he pretended to diagnose me- I pretended to
pay him. I wonder how many patients of his have succombed from iatrogenic
disease. I honestly was cool and pretty much tried not to upset him. i really
wanted the blood tests. Good health is just the slowest way to die. Jolly
