I use aloe vera and DMSO for burns. After an initial immediate
application of both I strip out the aloe gel, mix with 50 -70% DMSO / CS
liquid or 90% gel, although this is a high concentration. Then I
compress on the burn area for about 20 minutes.
I burned myself by splashing boiling refried beans on my wrist two weeks
ago. It turned a little red after this treatment, but no blisters and no
pain. Two weeks later the only evidence of the burn is a very slight
sloughing of the skin, not even enough to notice unless you look closely.

Best thing I've found for burns is DMSO. I use it at 70% concentration as
per Dr. Stanley Jacobs. It works on all types of heat type burns. I haven't
tried it on chemical type burns.

Thanks for the info Richard.
I know about Aloe being great for burns. A lot of welding shops
and car repair shops here have some potted aloe plants for burns.

Doris, aloe is by nature is a bit yucky but the cs seems to
preserve it .
This cream will not have a long shelf life and will need a good
shake but
with these three magical ingredients it is worth making up fresh
once a week

Oh, I almost forgot, when I put aloe vera in the fridge without
some sort of
stabilizer etc, it turns brown and yucky. Will this mixture stay
fresh and
not oxidize and stay clear?

I have a recipe that I make in Spain: fresh aloe vera, 12 ppm
colloidal and large spoon of the best olive oil you can find. Mix
well and keep in the fridge. Friends swear by it - Richard
