It certainly is possible to be too alkaline---the condition is called Alkalosis. And many of the the symptoms are quite similar to those of acidosis. See Balch and Balch, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing". Because it is so easy to get the balance wrong if we try to interfere, and because the body is generally so efficient at maintaining the acid/alkaline balance (if it wasn't we'd never have survived as a species, the range is extremely narrow)..............I prefer not to try to override the body's systems myself. Most alternative health authorities seem to assume (and I've even seen it stated flat out) that "everyone" is acidic, but it just ain't necessarily so.

Hi all, just a brief mention on the ph subject covered previously. Can
anyone tell me if it is possible to be *too* alkaline, because I have
started taking anti acid ph lowering stuff (Alki Max) plus Acid Clenz and
now I have come out in lumps on my face and have ulcers on my tongue. I
have been under considerable stress lately so don't know if this has caused
an immune problem. I am taking CS every few hours for the ulcers but it
doesn't seem to have worked yet. Any ideas anyone? TIA........Dee
