It certainly is possible to be too alkaline---the condition is called
Alkalosis. And many of the the symptoms are quite similar to those of
acidosis. See Balch and Balch, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing".
Because it is so easy to get the balance wrong if we try to interfere,
and because the body is generally so efficient at maintaining the
acid/alkaline balance (if it wasn't we'd never have survived as a
species, the range is extremely narrow)..............I prefer not to try
to override the body's systems myself.
Most alternative health authorities seem to assume (and I've even seen
it stated flat out) that "everyone" is acidic, but it just ain't
necessarily so.
