I have recently started a part time data entry job and I am concern about developing carpal tunnel. I am a knitter too, so sometimes I feel some twinges there already. Do any of you wise ones have any suggestions? TIA Lisa

I learned this trick from an incidental yoga class I took once (was diuring a raw food program my Mom and I took)...

Lay down on the floor on your stomach, and put your arms at your side, with your hands PALMS DOWN, UNDERNEATH (this is the most important part) your body/legs - ie, you're now lying on top of your hands, with your hands underneath your thighs, palms *down* flat on the floor. Lie like this for as long as you can hold it (I tried it, and it was a little uncomfortable, but not painful) - for a minimum of a few minutes, with 5-10 minutes the goal. Do this as often as you can. The more often - and the longer you hold it each session - the faster your hands will respond.

I don't have carpal tunnel, so cannot personally vouch for its effectiveness, but there were 2 or 3 people in that class that said that this worked a miracle for them. One person, it worked after just a few sessions/days - the other it took a couple of weeks... I forget how often they did it...
