Well, for starters, it is what is used to preserve dead bodies. How
can that be good for you? Years ago, no one would use toxic materials
like that for humans, now it is done all the time. Like building houses
out of paper products that rot.
And if we wait for the govt to pass laws to protect us, well, you can
get awful sick before you even know what is happening. And how many
people obey the regulations anyway? I suppose some must, but many just
ignore them.

Oh well, I was told that it was a law they could not use formaldehyde
anymore for quite a few years. So, if they are still using in new

it?? Found that several were really sick around here. Oh well, my
number isn't quite up yet.

Subject: CS>FEMA Trailers w/formaldehyde
So much for FEMA's home replacement efforts by giving trailers with
formaldehyde in them. They certainly would have known about
formaldehyde being an
issue before they expected people to live in those trailers. So
what is FEMA
doing now for housing needs?
**** For what it's worth -- it isn't just FEMA's trailers that have a
formaldehyde issue -- ALL new mobile homes do. Even the great big,
beautiful $150,000.00 ones. It's the consequence of all the new
materials that are used to build the unit itself, plus all the new
materials inside. Inside the sales office at every mobile home dealer
there is posted a warning about this. What's necessary is for the
home to be aired out -- windows open, ceiling fans working, and
circulation fan on the furnace going -- for a period of about a week,
before anyone moves into one. So much fear and concern could be
avoided if people would just educate themselves about the things that
they encounter. MA
P.S. We get a little bit of the same problem with new cars, and even
when we buy new furniture or carpeting for our homes. It's just that
with mobile homes, everything is new, inside and out.
