I've done a bit of reading, and it seems that all forms of magnesium have
to be changed into the chloride form to be bioavailable.
Did you find anything relative to the form that is in plants, fruit,
vegetables, grass, ect ?
That should be interesting.
Hope you did not miss this one, 200 articles on Mg.

I don't think Albion even mentions the form.
Likely some is slow and some is faster.
Don't sell the body chemistry short.
These are some of the better forms, Magnesium citrate, magnesium
taurate, magnesium malate, magnesium succinate, magnesium fumerate,
magnesium aspartate, amino acid chelate.
Not sure the order means anything.
Magnesium Sulfate is used for plants and humans can use it also.
You don't see a lot abut this for humans, even though it is required.
Could be because it is so cheap and readily available. ( Epsom Salts )
Typically, we like for plant food forms to be instantly and readily available.
Most people never experience what a plant can do if you keep it fed and
growing constantly. Amazing.
If you feed them 10 to 12 times per day, they grow fast and produce in a
minimum of time. Once I fed a small test plot every 20 minutes during the
daylight hours.
In some hydroponics applications, the roots are emerged in nutrients
constantly.
Some humans eat near constantly. If they can do it without weighing 400
pounds, it may have advantages.
When I used to work marathon hours, 30, 40 and more hours straight, I
learned I best feed regularly and feed the brain, heart, and muscles or I
might not live thru the day and certainly could do no complicated
work. Supplements, protein, and raw eggs helped me live thru it.
Never hit any power poles or bridges. That is the first requirement.
And some people, even today, wonder why their brain function is weak and
does not function properly.
You do have to find your way down a one way street before you can do any
work at the other end.
Yes, all this applies to magnesium, or the other way around. <grin>
