CS>Salt therapy

I have a chest infection (given to me by stupid daughter who had 'flu jab!)  
which started as the 'flu, but thanks to CS is now just a mild cold.  The thing 
is, I have a weak chest which always takes ages to clear and am wondering 
whether any of you have used a 'salt pipe'?  I have seen one advertised in 
Living is Easy and wondered if any of you have tried this.  Many thanks in
