<< Bladder infections can be hard to get rid of completely is my experience. I have found that you need to make sure there is sufficient CS in the baldder at all times to kill the pathogens. That means taking it several times a day, or even better, take a little every time you drink anything instad of just one or two doses a day. That way you know the level will stay sufficiently high in the bladder at all times. Apparently in just a couple of hours they can grow back in force.. Also taking cranberry juice can help. The CS kills them but the CJ prevents them from sticking to the wall. There is very good synergy between the two. If you are sure your mother-in-law has only a bladder infection then the above is great. If not then I'd avoid checking further into cranberry, it can be problematic if the problem is kidney related and not just in the bladder. My wife was having bladder infections one right after the other. I put her on the same program as Marshall has advised and she hasn't had any problems for well over a year now. Is it cured? Who knows. Never had a need to go back to the Doc. to find out. For the best results, with cranberry, get pure undiluted cranberry juice from a health food store. She will need to take at least 16 oz each day. The cranberry juice cocktail, that you find in the grocery stores, contains a lot of sugar and about 1/3 juice and the rest is water, very low dosage potential. Better yet, there are some good concentrated cranberry tablets available. These allow for high dosages, 400 mg, two times a day without the taste buds crash :-). My guess is your mother-in-law should feel results in two the three day, maybe 4 to 5 because she has had this problem for some time. She should stay on the above for at least a week and then reduce the cranberry, in tablet form, to 400 mg once a day and continue to take as a maintenance dosage. As Marshall said, bladder infections can be a bear to get rid of. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
