Hi Barbara, I do watch all the nature programs, probably saw them all.  I'm very familiar with the plight of a Cheetah that are so inbred that 85% of their genes are identical.  It is surprising that they are not extinct yet.  I know of a Polar Bear problems with the global warming.  I know about bees being disoriented by the pesticides and dying by the millions.  And I do realize that if the bees will go extinct so will we.  I know about the assault that humans unleash on the Earth.  In a way I agree with the powers that be that there are too many people on earth, do not agree with their method of genocide though.    The thought of ETs treating us like we treat animals is really chilling.  But then, we ARE less intelligent and advanced than they are... :(  Wonder what are their plans for us.... I don't think they want us extinct because the do have means to do us in if they wanted to, right?  They are visiting and observing humans for eons but we are still here.  I loved the books of Erich von Daniken, read them all...LOL  Very easy reading.    Anyway, I wish I saw a UFO but never did.  Too bad...   Barbara Perhaps you do not see this, but you have something to contribute to the discourse which is what this forum is about.  You don't have to be *right* or *wrong* nor do you need to *defend* anything.  There is *no thing* to defend.  Unfortunately, if you enter into judgement about *others* statements, it becomes hard for others to *support* you. I have been off this list, by choice, for a while.  Primarily because of petty arguments, which I allowed myself to be drawn into...and upon realizing this decided I needed to take a break...and did.  I am back because I need the information/knowledge that this group so willingly gives.  Mostly I am a lurker, so your comments about lurkers annoyed me.  Why, because I am a human being...just like you...I have a right to say my piece, even if I am ignorant and stupid and a lurker.  Intelligence and participation has never been a prerequiste to belong to this list...I  stand to be corrected here. What is really great about this list is that there are wonderful folks here, who will try to help regardless of being ignorant.  Mike is, without doubt, deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize for his handling of this list, but will never get one. Having said that, you are a human being...(I assume, because I have no evidence to the contrary) and with that distinction, you are due all respect that any human being deserves.  I give you that respect and in addition, I salute you as another denizen on this planet. While I hope that you will likewise respect others similarly, it isn't a requirement.  So be it.  The respect to you, and of you, as a human being, is always and will always be there.
