One thing I've heard about for awhile regarding how CS works, suddenly doesn't quite make sense to me.

CS appears to deactivate enzymes that microorganism use for oxygen metabolism. True or false?

Because if it's true, then I have another question. What about microorganisms that are _anaerobic_? This means they survive in an oxygen-DEPRIVED environment.

Or is "anaerobic" merely a matter of degrees? In other words, anaerobic microbes don't use as MUCH oxygen?

Could someone please explain this to me?
