I've bought similar articles in the past and they usually turn out to be pretty unconvincing. Often they are just one doctor's diagnosis thats based on a theory that appeared as an afterthought in some ancient lab test.
But, like this article, they get referenced on things like Wikipedi and assume the status of 'gospel'.
