Distiller tips:
1] Pre filter water through activated charcoal, don't post filter it.
2] don't fill it up all the way to prevent tube fouling overboil.
3] discard the first cup that comes out to eliminate any volatiles the
carbon filter missed.
If that doesn't do it, repeat #2 and #3.
If THAT doesn't do it, get better source water.
Distillers need frequent cleaning of the condenser tubes.
If they are aluminum, don't use any basic solutions [lye, for instance ]
CLR should be OK, or Hydrochloric/ Muriatic or Phosphoric acid.

If I made a still it would not be for water, just kidding because I can
count the drinks I have each year with digits
left from toes and fingers. I could make on for car fuel but it is a lot
of work unless you have the raw material
