Ron, Try to keep your electrodes as far apart as possible, 2 inches would be good. Try cooking for less time, say 30 mins in hot water and 1 hr in cold. Do try cold water, the increase in current is much slower. Also try using less voltage, 27V or even 18V, add 30 mins cooking time and 60 mins respectively. Good things take time :-) If you try these different parameters you will come to some understanding of what to expect when generating. The general theory goes like this: The lower the voltage the longer it takes and the smaller the current flow. The smaller the current flow the finer the particles, also less build up on the negative electrode and less cloudiness in the colloid. The deeper the electrodes the more current is drawn so less time is required. The further apart the electrodes the more likely the silver ions are to spread throughout the water and current rise is slower. The hotter the water the higher the current. Greater water volume means longer generating time. Good luck Ivan. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
