Hi, Dianne,

Flouride replaces iodine in the body, they are similarly reactive. Many medications contain florine, or some type of floro- compounds. The PDR should say. I remember several antibiotics have some.

Also, I would not discount hormones right off the bat, as many men have hormone changes. There are lots of situations that can cause hormone like changes. That is, I mean that progesterone cream might actually help and if you have some around you could try it.

Thanks for the heads up on that but I don't think that is a problem.  We have well water and use organic toothpaste without fluoride.  Not sure about the mouthwash he has, will have to check that. Have been working at eliminating fluoride for the past year.  I know fluoride is not good but why does someone with thyroid have to be more careful?  Just curious.

Hello,

If this is thyroid function, be careful to avoid Fluoride in water, and in the cookware, and in the toothpaste!  It's a good idea to do that anyway!

I just got into this discussion, so what I'm suggesting may have already been mentioned. But one of the first things I'd get checked is thyroid function.
