Ulcers are basically caused by a bacteria known as Heli-cobacter Pylori
thriving in a stomach that is low in Hydro-Chloric Acid [HCL].This bug has
the ability to make and surround itself with Sodium Bi-carbonate,an alkili
which neutralizes and depletes the acid.
Strong stomach acid keeps these bugs under control.
AND the usual treatments using N-SAIDs compound it all as they slow down
production of what little acid there is.They are an Abomination.
A Dr Charles Duffy of Dallas-Fort Worth told me that in 30+ years of
practice,he could not remember one ulcer patient having too much
acid.Invariably they had low to none,
The regimen I was told to follow was to get Betaine HCL, 500 mgs
capsules,then you take one[1] 15 minutes before meal.Then increase by one
at next meal.Keep increasing by one until a peppery feeling is felt,then
back off one.
I got to 7 before I felt it.
That was a number of years ago and now I don't have to take any;altho I once
in a while try one.Not needed.
CS would be beneficial when the bug is exposed after its' Bi-carb is
neutralized by Betaine HCL.
This low acid in the stomach can be the result of insults to the body ie,
Stress, poor to wrong,diet,life style,etc.It would be wise to modify these
as this is what I had to do,and it has paid off.
