I am re-posting some info that should benefit your husband.

Sure sounds like Scurvy;a lack of Vitamin C.
This was the bane of sailors in the early days. One of the symptoms of scurvy
was the blood vessels getting so weak and thin they leaked blood.Internal
Haemorrhaging [Spell ?].There were other symptoms too,ie,teeth falling out.
Some of the ships sailing out for a year or so would lose more than half the
crews to Scurvy.
This was known as the bleeding death.

This Scurvy problem was alleviated when they started to carry fresh
Limes,lemons,etc.aboard.
I have read where England had a treaty with Portugal and their Navy ships
would stop there to load up on these limes, etc.
Using Limes was how the English became known as "Limeys"
Overcoming scurvy was said to be the reason England became so powerful.Their
Navy people were so much healthier than any of the others, formidable
fighters.
I would suggest trying Vitamin C as it has the ability to make the blood vessels tough as rubber. Also zinc is what I used for much the same prostate problem years ago, about 1973.
My Dr. had no answer for it.

I have a question here,
My father has varicose veins also, but also has blood in the semen, which
he's trying to control with natural remedies. But did ask about this when I
mentioned it to him. If someone as this problem and was told NOT to take
anything like Aspirin or blood thinner does Niacin work the same?
Just trying to figure out what would be best for him to try and help him out
with the veins and also with the blood in the semen. If anyone has any
suggestions I'd certainly take them. Also he's got on and off high blood
pressure, which he does NOT want to take anything from the Doctor.
So again any help on this would be grateful. I do give him CS often but
wonder if CS everyday, or something else would be a benefit for him.
Hope anyone has any suggestions on this.
Take care,

Nathalie

Hi,

I too take lots of Niacin. I buy the time released and take it at night just before I go to sleep. I started with 50mg dose and took it until I no
longer flushed from it, then up the dose 50mgs and did the samething and
just keep uping the dose until I am are taking 1000mgs. Don't take it on
an empty stomach. 1000mgs is a good maintaince dose for me. You have to
do what works for you.

Hugs,

Gerrie
