The medisana personal ultrasonic humidifier doesn't have a filter.
Wally World used to sell them, then quit, maybe does again.
Try Amazon
The Relion unltrasonic humidifier from wally world has an ion exchange
resin filter, but it can be gutted. [It's a very good humidifier with
scads of output]
If it has a wick, it won't work without it.
Don't see why an ion wouldn't make it through a plain fibre wick.

I need to disperse some CS into the air right away for a coughing dog. Is
Walgreens personal ultrasonic humidifier still the one of choice? In
reading through my files on it, its still unclear as to whether the filter
should be left on or off.
We bought a humidifier from Wal-Mart (not Walgreens) and removed the
flat-sheet filter that covers the pan, but nothings happening. Without the
filter, the liquid level doesnt decrease, so Im thinking that the filteris
necessary to whisk the liquid up so the fan can disperse the drops into
the air.
We have to get this straightened out by tomorrow afternoon, so I
appreciate your quick input.
Thanks.
