Stephanie does not seem to want to talk about the actual surgery and
RAI. She has eluded most of my questions. She only wants to talk about
iodine and getting better since her surgery and RAI treatments. I have
been to hers and many other sites and hers does not cover the questions
I have.
I have not heard from many others about these experiences and the dr is
absolutely no help. I told him that I was unsure of the RAI and he cut
me off and said" we would not give you something unless it would make
you better, we would not give you insulin if you were not diabetic" I
was absolutely upset at this reaction, but I have already passed over
one surgeon and wasted 2 months. My throat, neck, ear and tongue are
really becoming affected.
I just want to get the RAI out of my body as fast as possible to start
the healing. One website stated that it has a affinity to iodine and
another website says it adsorbs radioactive material. If it doesn't
then I'm just no further a head I guess.

If dealt with early on, it has one of the highest survival rates. I know
nothing of RAI though.
After you join, write to her in the group. I don't think she will respond to
you if you write to her privately. This is a very active group with a large
amount of mail.
