Water " Ionizers " are somewhat different in intent.
Using tap water they produce Hydronium H3O [+] as the acid and hydroxyl OH [-] as the base as water products.

Using salt water, the acid is Hypochloruos acid and the base is sodium hydroxide aka lye as salt products. [prolly along WITH the water products]
