  You name is never in vain .

  No Voltage,  No current.

  To say, one is related, the other is not, ..........

 I believe that the voltage on the electrodes,
 must indeed change, to keep the current the same.

The resistance, ( conductance ) of the solution certainly changes.
Current cannot be constant, without a change of Voltage,
If so, ........ please explain.
