CS>Epsom salt & Baking soda OT

Do any of the chemistry informed list members know if there is any  
detrimental effect of adding epsom salts & baking soda?

I have heard them both recommended for detoxing baths but wonder if  
they neutralize or alter one another's ph or in anyway react? Other  
than mixing....
