You need to be sure of the purity of the wire. I know of one person that bought 
.999 wire from a jeweler and had problems. I doubted the wire's purity.

Jewelers "fine silver" as is used in bezels and some wire is 99.9%
fine silver.  This is OK for CS making.  Better to get it on the
internet though, because you can get a much better price.
