I find it interesting that the sales literature for coral calcium states that coral calcium does two things to drinking water, one it raises the pH and two it produces a negative redox potential. The water ionizers so popular in Japan and Korea now being sold in the USA accomplish the same thing. The alkalinity is achieved by concentrating already present alkaline minerals and the negative redox potential is achieved by introducing active (atomic) hydrogen (a good thing). A negative redox potential does not necessarily infer the presence of active hydrogen so one cannot be sure that coral calcium introduces active hydrogen into water.
