Hi Sol, I bought my system from a company called Air, Water and Ice:
http://www.airwaterice.com I just now googled it and they're still there, but the download seemed to be taking ages, so I didn't wait to see if they still had the same system, etc. When I got it (7+ yrs ago?) I talked with Walter about what options would work for me; He's a true gentleman and was very helpful. It's an "under the counter" system, and comes with a separate spigot for dispensing the RO water for cooking and drinking (and another separate one under the counter for the DI (and non-charcoal filtered) CS making source). It's under the kitchen sink. There Are whole house systems, but it's not too common to need this level of protection for showers, laundry, etc. I get the impression they've become a popular and a larger business - not surprising, they were about the best for quality and price back then, and very open about their products and why they chose-used them. A "DI" is a De-Ionisation cartridge, similar to what is used in a water softener, i.e. a pack of resin beads which remove any ions left in the water. There are both positive and negative ions, of course, so the cartridge for general use contains both sorts of beads. This makes it too hard to recharge at home, so a new cart. is needed now and then. Well, more than you asked for, hope it covers it for you. Take care, Malcolm On Sun, 2009-05-31 at 19:48 -0600, sol wrote: > What brand RO system?
