Howdy Silver Gurus, I'm in a bit of a quandary. I have been producing LVDC CS for about 6 months now. I use a Sota Silver Maker, 27 volts, electrodes 1 inch apart, imersion depth about 3.5-4 inches. I use the warm water method and let it run for 45-55 minutes. I stop the process when I see a "good" Tyndall effect. Then I store it in a glass mason jar with a plastic lid. Here's my problem, I had never re-checked a batch after it sat on the shelf for a week or so. Last night I happened to be moving things around in the closet when I found myself with both my laser pointer and a few batches of CS. I checked both for Tyndall effect. One bottle exhibited a similar Tyndall effect to that when it was produced. The other bottle was a different story. It showed very little Tyndall effect, but when I disturbed the bottle, moving it down from the shelf, it then showed a good Tyndall. Question: I double filter each batch through 2-3 coffee filters before storing. Do you have to shake the CS before you take it?? Shouldn't ionic CS stay in suspension for a week or two in a glass jar?? I wonder why one batch seemed to maintain it's Tyndall effect?? Just curious. hugs al
