Dear Sir.
Lecithin, as far as our research has determined, is not
overly hygroscopic. Therefore, causing constipation would seem to be
inconsistent with its characteristic as a very powerful emulsifier. I believe
you would be well-served to investigate the possibility that ---you and others
using kindred protocols---might be suffering from chronic "systemic"
dehydration.......just not enough water in your cellular structure. This is a
much more pronounced problem than might, at first, be imagined, due to several
circumstances-----not the least of which is a rather serious decline of the
thirst reflex, as we age. Unsettling as the news may be, recent data reveals
that general systemic health maintenance requires about 1 ounce of water (not
composite similar fluids) per 2 pounds of body weight.....daily. Availiable
time and circumstance mitigate against my elaborating on this topic further---at
least at this time.
Just one note, however. We were unable to "create" constipation in
either animal subjects, or human volunteers. through variations of diet
substances (by nature or bulk), provided all subjects were properly hydrated.
Conversely, it was quite simple to incite fluid-laden stools.
I hope this information is of some value to you.
Sincerely. Brooks Bradley.
