Dear Carol, I'm so sorry! Bill had mentioned you wanted information on the escharotics earlier and then when I wrote today I forgot that part. There are a number of choices. The one we had originally was from a group in Lake Charles, La.70601 Lifeline Sciences, Inc.. I'm not sure if that's still available or not. I'll try to do some checking on it though. The product was called Herbal Comfotec (formula G). It is in a 4 oz. tube. The ingredients are: Water, Galanga ( Alpinia galanga), Carbamide, Menthol, Fo-Ti ( Polygonum multiflorum), Buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula), pulverized elm bark (ulmus fulva), Rose Hip, in an Excipient base of herbal spices. It says, this amazing herbal ointment, based in part on the lectures of Dr. Li Chung Yun, is one of the most miraculous topical products to be introduced to the West in many years. As it is potent, use only as directed. I didn't feel I could use it on my lesion because it was too close to a mucous membrane ( above my eye). Bill used it on some small spots and had good results with it though. We have about 1/3 of the tube left. Then, In the last year, I got one from Healing Leaves in Washington State. The product is called Herb Veil 8. It costs $69.00 and the kit removes multiple lesions. ( removes skin cancer lesions gently, the ad says). It has 3 little bottles, 1 a escharotic salve, the other 2 are healing cream. Rob McClintock there at Healing Leaves Ministry is very helpful and knowledgeable about herbs and treatments. I have heard him speak and have a set of videos of his medical missionary training seminar. His phone number is (509) 738-2177. or e-mail him at : [email protected] . He has a newsletter-you may ask to be on his mailing list. In his book entitled "God's Healing Leaves" it lists the herb Sorrel Grass> also known as : Sour grass, incorrectly called sheep sorrel ( Oxalis acetosella) Parts to use: Leaves. Chemical constituents: Potassium oxalate, oxalic acid, mucilage. Applications and uses: In culinary usage it may be used to replace vinegar. Its primary use and most important is as an escharotic. Natural practitioners use the leaves in removing skin cancers and small external tumors. It may be used internally as an anticancer agent, with caution, possibly using licorice as a buffer. Follow up with parsley to expel any of the acids after internal use. Dosage> Capsules: 4 caps 2xdaily. Infusion: 1 cup 2x daily, not used internally very often." The other product I know about is from DR. Williams newsletter called Alternatives. The product is called SkinAnswer. It says you can get it from CompassioNet, at One Jeanne Drive, Newburgh, N.Y. 12550. Tele- 800-510-2010. A 0.5 oz. btl. sells for $45, plus $5. for shipping & h. Alternatives subscribers ( I believe I have a friend who subscribes) can get it for $38.25 plus s & h. I will send the information from this newsletter to you via snail mail-so you can read the whole thing. I think any of these escharotics are worth trying and would probably work. It can take some time and experimenting but is less costly. There are other things to try too. Herbs, CS, and Cayenne. I will send a few items that are too lengthy to type. As for the Melanoma- Dr. Richard Schulze, the Master Herbalist ( on the healthfree website I gave you) says this about Melanoma: " Red Clover, one of the ingredients, is famous for skin cancer; a specific for melanoma. I have had many patients kill and lift off melanomas like a scab, flaking off a wound that has healed." ( It goes on with case history, I'll copy it and put it in the mail to you). Oh, but I was going to say, the thing that has worked the best for me lately, is to use a strong solution of CS as a dressing nightly, or all the time for a week or 2. I saturate a square of gauze with CS then put Aloe gel or any helpful salve on the under layer of the gauze just to help keep the dressing moist longer and apply that and cover with a piece of plastic to hold the moisture in , then cover with a band-aid, tape, or bandage. At night, I put a cotton bandana folded up and tied around my head just to hold the bandage on and help keep it from drying out as soon. If it dries, I have to soak it off in the morning and reapply. Then I found mention of the cayenne being helpful in Dr. S's material so I would dab the CS saturated gauze square into some cayenne powder before I applied it. ( It doesn't burn, may tingle a little) and it helps kill the cancer. Over a few weeks time, it really improved my forehead. It has dried up and cleared up alot from the bottom up 'til it is higher up, and I do believe I could use an escharotic on it now. I was using the CS solution from Aim ( used to be called Silver Plus, now called Earthwise) because the literature on it said it is 230 ppm. (4 oz. bottle is $30.00- or $26.50 for members) and it lasts a long time. You can take it internally too, it would be good to use it both ways at the same time. But of course, you could use the less strong CS solution for that; e.g. what you make yourself. Of course, with the right diet and lifestyle changes ( which should really go along with the treatments) probably even the 10-20 ppm CS solution, internally and externally with the cayenne might suffice. And of course, the diet & healthy principles would insure that the cancers don't just come back or change location. A lot of people that have skin cancers burned off- have a recurring problem because they aren't going to the root cause and changing their body chemistry- pH (alkaline) & lifestyle to work with their body instead of against it. I know how hard it is to stay focused on the things we need to do and work with the treatments consistently and determinedly until we get results! I do believe that fasting & lots of juicing ( carrot is best), and a raw diet e.g. the Hallelujah Diet ( Dr. George Malkmus is teaching) would speed the healing and allow the body to heal any and all of its ills. ( Most people have to be desperate before they will do it.... but thousands of people are on the Hallelujah Diet now and the testimonials are phenomenal. Their website is www.hacres.com and their newsletter is free and is called Back to the Garden. They also have a weekly free health tip (electronic newsletter) which is very valuable & inspiring. Well, this is way too long and it is late. I will get some things in the mail to you (hopefully, tomorrow). Let me know if some of these things prove helpful. Or if I can help further in any way. Your friend, Cora.
