Hi Julie. Do you make yours out of pure habs? There is one hotter pepper
but it's very hard to come by. Otherwise habs are the hottest peppers we
can get. Make your tinc with them, throw in any of the other hot peppers
you want, but make the greatest amount as habs and you should get every bit
as hot as Christopher's. If you want to buy a premade tinc that's hotter
than Christopher's I would suggest you try Dr. Schulze's at
www.herbdoc.com I believe his is much hotter, from what I have read.
My cayenne tinc is just habs, although I do add our wild chili pequins.
They actually seem hotter than habs, though I seldom find the pequins listed
in scovil units. I did once and it listed the pequins as less than the habs
but taste wise--nope, they are hotter. But maybe it is just because we had
a very hot summer that year, which is what is needed to make really hot
peppers.

Renee
