Kathy, Some people do take it on or in their food. Other people put it in capsules, others only inhale! It needs to be *DILUTED* a lot. I have put a drop or 2 in my lentil soup when I've felt a cold coming on and then not gotten sick numerous times. Again, I really recommend the oils_herbs_etc archives for oregano info. -Gail
