We are applying the stuff twice a day. I just mix it up a little at a time, seems to have a chemical reaction as the mix gets warm. Then I dab it on with a paper towel to the affected areas. It's been making a big difference and is not messy unlike other treatments like fingernail polish, the sap of the milkweed plant and so on.
