Isn't it biSphenol?

=============
The spelling is biphenol, specifically biphenol A. It is used in many
plastics, but is not used in polyethylene, which is the plastic of
choice for CS and the one we use. Specifically it is used in
polyesters, polysulones, polycarbonates, PVC and epoxies. Specifically
PET, HDPE, LDPE, polypropylene, and polystyrene do not use biphenol A.

The only plastic we recommend is polyethylene for storage, either HDPE
or LDPE, which typically contains no antioxidants or plasticizes. No one
is recommending using any plastic which contains this compound for anything.
